I'd been listening to the male cardinal outside my window and decided to take a closer look at the local birdlife. In the early 2000's, while taking the on-line Comprehensive Bird Biology course with the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, I learned that our feathered friends were actually avian dinosaurs. I was "hooked," especially by their feet.
